Experience some of our books through the senses of touch and smell this Thursday 6th September, 3-4pm as Jo Maddocks offers her popular talk as part of the Insights series. You can discover what came before Braille and why old books have different odours.

Free tickets are available from the Wellcome Collection Information Desk at 1.30pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Please leave coats and bags in the cloakroom.

Our popular Insight sessions offer visitors to the Wellcome Library an opportunity to explore the variety of our holdings. These free sessions are thematic in style, last around an hour and offer a chance to learn about our collections.

For further details, please follow the links above to the appropriate pages on the Wellcome Collection website.

Hi, I am Danny Rees, an Engagement Officer for the Wellcome Library, one of my interests is the human face; its physiognomy, expressions and ideas about what constitutes beauty. When not at work I enjoy the Kent countryside and consider radio to be one of the best things in life.
