World AIDS Day 2012

It is World AIDS Day on 1st December, a day that has been marked annually at the Wellcome Library since the digitization of the Library’s international collection of 3000 AIDS posters several years ago. The collection continues to grow as highlighted by a blog post that marked the 30th anniversary of the Terrence Higgins Trust earlier this year. To mark World AIDS Day this year, the Trust has produced an AIDS cards pack, which is available in the Library.

The AIDS poster collection is being made available online and can be found through the Library catalogues. The posters are viewable through the Library’s new media player:
