You will have noticed a number of major changes which have taken place in the Library over the past few weeks, and we have reopened the expanded Rare Materials Room, our new staircase and seating areas. Check out our previous update for all the details.

Works have been progressing across the Wellcome Collection as a whole, but some delays have occurred which are having a knock-on effect to the Library schedule.

We had hoped that we could end the Library’s Monday closures by April, but unfortunately we will need to extend them until June.

We fully appreciate that this is in no way ideal, but the Monday closures allow us to get the noisiest building works done when the Library is closed. This means that the less noisy work can continue across the rest of the week, minimizing your exposure to the noisiest and dustiest of works.

We really do appreciate you bearing with us during the building works. If you have any questions or concerns about the works, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
