We’re delighted to announce that on Tuesday 3 June we’re reopening the Library entrance on Level 2. As you will see when you visit, we’ve made a number of changes to the layout and design of the Library entrance area.
First of all, Library users will be pleased to hear that the lockers are now back in operation on Level 2. They’re now located on the left as you come through the main entrance from the lift lobby. Remember, you’ll need to bring a £1 coin to use the lockers, which will be refunded when you empty the locker. The free cloakroom on the ground floor is still available if you prefer to leave your belongings in there.
We have a new Enquiries desk, and we have installed new entry gates. They’re proximity gates, so you don’t swipe your card through, just place the barcoded side of your Library card on the reader and the gates will open. As usual we will be around to help if required!
There are now Copy rooms on Levels 2 and 3. The change machine and the Value Loader will be in the Copy room on Level 2.
There are banks of PCs on both Levels 2 and 3.
We’ll be making an announcement about changes to the Monday closures very soon, so please keep your eye on the Library website, Twitter and Facebook pages.
As always, if you have any questions at all about the Library please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
