By Chloe Roberts | Digital Developments, In the Library
Shortly before Christmas I was asked to chat to one of our GCSE level work experience students about what the Library Web Team does. My conversation with the student, Toby, revealed his passion for what he’d experienced of the Library so far and his enthusiasm for seeing how it functions behind the scenes.
We had a great chat about the Library, young audiences and the ‘interestingness’ of the Library website homepage. The other parts of the Library that Toby had experienced were so varied, and his descriptions of them so enthusiastic, that it would have been a shame not to share it with the world. So we hatched a plan for a very short notice social media takeover day.
Here’s a Storify of his #twittertakeover. The tweets were seen by over 23,903 twitter users which is brilliant. Although it took some hard prep work, I think his enthusiasm really comes through and we’re really pleased that we did it.
