It’s goodbye from the Wellcome Library blog.

The blog is closing and will no longer be updated.

Thank you to those that have read the blog, shared it and posted comments. I hope all our readers have enjoyed being able to peek behind the scenes of our digital developments, learn about our collections, find out what it’s like to dig into the archives to unearth the past or explore medicine and health in Europe before 1700.

The blog has served us well and I would like to thank all those who wrote for it – both library staff past and present, and our readers.

Though the blog is ending, it will not be the end of such articles.

We are making an adjustment to the way we publish as part of a much wider set of changes and a new strategy which brings together our library and museum together under the Wellcome Collection umbrella.

In the future, essays, articles and researchers’ perspectives similar to those posted on the Library blog, will be found at the Stories section of the Wellcome Collection website. If you have an article you’d like to write for us, read our guide on how to pitch us a story.

Digital developments and articles about our professional practice will be published at Stacks, and information about our talks, seminars and workshops can be found under the What’s on section.

These changes will enable us to do what the library blog has always set out to do, but more effectively.

I hope to see you there.

Best,

Tom Scott, Head of Digital Engagement
